How it all began…

“It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to develop a hidden gem like this into something amazing that will attract people to this stunning corner of Northern Ireland.”

Richard Beattie (owner)

Richard Beattie has lived on the Glenpark Road his whole life, moving from his childhood home to live in his own family home just down the road from the Glenpark Estate.
Now Richard and his wife Selina are undertaking the most amazing adventure to develop the site of the old Ulster History Park into something really special. Richard and Selina are well known in the farming community running a number of livestock auctions with a special interest in pedigree stock and rare breeds (more about that later!). They are also familiar faces from UTV’s popular Rare Breed - A Farming Year programme.
Not content with their already successful farming enterprises, they’ve opted for an adventurous new project. Their vision for Glenpark Estate is inspiring and their enthusiasm for the project completely infectious! After 15 years of neglect, the Ulster History Park is getting a new lease of life. The project is already taking shape with the 24 caravan pitches ready to go - as soon as the Government lift restrictions! Next on the revamp is 10 exclusive hotel rooms, a restaurant & bar area, facilities for weddings & events and a soft play area for children’s parties. Of course the famous rare breeds will be making an appearance too, grazing in paddocks in the grounds of the estate for everyone to enjoy!

And the rest is history

Now it’s over to you…
